Three inmates in the custody of Banke District Police Office fled at the wee hours on Wednesday morning.
According to police, Rasid Ahamad Sheikh, of Harminiya in Banke, and two Indian nationals—Bikash Dhobi and Sahirababu Ansari fled from the custody at around 4 am.
Seikh was arrested on the charge of illegal drug peddling while Dhobi and Ansari were detained for public offence case.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Shekhar Koirala informed that investigation is underway regarding the incident.
He also claimed that police have already nabbed the absconding inmates Seikh and Dhobi, former from Banke itself and latter in India, while Ansari is being searched for the arrest.myrepublica.com
